Description

Apollo Program: Saturn Engine Control Panel. Removed from the Kennedy Space Center launch facility. The 8" x 8.5" front panel (5.5" deep) contains eight buttons, all of which are labeled, as follows: "Lift Off/ Not Auto Abort"; "Apex Cover Jet T"; "LES [Launch Escape System] Motor Fire"; "Drogue Deploy"; "Canard Deploy"; "Main Deploy"; "CSM/LV Sep"; and "CM RCS He Dump". There are two Service Propulsion System Gimbal meters, one for "Pitch", and the other for "Yaw". Four "LV Tank Press" meters are labeled "SII Fuel", "SIVB", "SIVB Oxid", and "Fuel". There are two switches and several indicator lights on the right side for "Translation" and "Rotational" functions. A Dymo-type label at the bottom reads "18A19". The circuit board (with point to point wiring), switches, and connector on the back seem to be complete. Fine condition with soiling and light scratching obviously from use.
