Description
Apollo Lunar Module Rocket Propellant Coupling. A large and complex device, 10.5" x 6.125" x 5.25" overall size, with a red printed part number on the base of "LDW280M 16130-11" and one on the end plate of "LTM280-255187-7", with inspector's stamps near both. It was manufactured by the J. C. Carter Company of Costa Mesa, California for Grumman. Their identification plate imparts the following information: "Coupling, Propellant, Man. Disc/ Fuel Serv (Type VI, Class 1)/ Contr No NAS9-1100". The Carter part number is "6907-231" and the Grumman part number is "LSC 310-401-604". This artifact passed quality control but was never assigned to a specific lunar module. Excellent condition. From the collection of scientist and author Charles Pellegrino.Auction Info
