Description

Apollo LM-15 Lunar Module Hull Piece. A 2.375" x 2.125" section from one of the incredibly thin, ultra-light portions of the lunar module hull. It demonstrates Neil Armstrong's reported concern that even a sharp pen could poke a hole through the cabin wall and into space. This sample was removed from the partially-constructed Apollo 20 Lunar Module (LM-15), which was scrapped in Long Island's Oceanside Landfill. Excellent condition. From the collection of scientist and author Charles Pellegrino.
