Description
Apollo Command Module Heat Shield Separation and Retention System. Assembly set and modification kit designed by North American Aviation Inc., and still in original metal case. Included are original blueprints and paperwork dating from 1965-1971. Designed for the Apollo development program under contract No. NAS 9-150, this is a rare piece of space history. Metal case measures 12" x 8" x 27", and weighs approx. 40 pounds. Case and contents show signs of wear, but displays very well.Auction Info
