Description

X-15: Neil Armstrong's Handwritten Notes (Two Pages) regarding the "Second Simulator Program" Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, Certified and Encapsulated by Collectibles Authentication Guaranty. Two pages, handwritten in green pencil on lined legal pad sheets along with an index card with "Second Simulator Program" written in purple pencil. These are apparently his critiques of the simulator.

The first page is titled "Minimum Gain" and lists various points including: "Gains too low"; "250K entries- O.K at 15°, Hard at 20°, 25° - must be lucky'; and "Ditch rate command hard to use (Reaction control is left stick)'.

The second page is titled "MFS [Manned Flight Simulator]" and lists these points, among others: "Pitch Rate Unnatural"; "Trim Pitch Rate Unnatural"; and "Weakest in yaw - I yielding roll".

A perfect lot for the aviation collector. Unique. Rusty paperclip indentations on all three pages, otherwise very fine. Sealed in two separate numbered archival sleeves. This lot will include Statements of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
