Description

Nobel Laureate Richard Feynman & the Space Shuttle Challenger (STS-51-L) Disaster: Handwritten Document Spanning Three Days After Joining Rogers Commission. One lined sheet in black ink measuring 8.5" x 11" on which Feynman wrote his notes for the dates of February 10-12. Contains technical information pertaining to O-rings, which would eventually be exposed as faulty equipment. He writes in part: "Best info in last section on O-rings...Thiokol at first claimed they said O-ring not to be used below 50 [degrees] actual temp 15 [degrees] Later they changed their mind. I request technical data they used to change their mind..."

A fascinating record of Feynman's thoughts as he put together his investigation that would put him at odds with NASA and President Reagan. Very fine.
