Description
Nobel Laureate Richard Feynman & the Space Shuttle Challenger (STS-51-L) Disaster: Handwritten Document Spanning Three Days After Joining Rogers Commission. One lined sheet in black ink measuring 8.5" x 11" on which Feynman wrote his notes for the dates of February 10-12. Contains technical information pertaining to O-rings, which would eventually be exposed as faulty equipment. He writes in part: "Best info in last section on O-rings...Thiokol at first claimed they said O-ring not to be used below 50 [degrees] actual temp 15 [degrees] Later they changed their mind. I request technical data they used to change their mind..."A fascinating record of Feynman's thoughts as he put together his investigation that would put him at odds with NASA and President Reagan. Very fine.
