NASA "Lunar Module Systems Handbook Vehicle LM-1 AS-206 Rev A and Rev B". Two original publications, dated 10/27/66 and 3/16/67 respectively, comprised of thousands of pages of detailed information concerning the first ever flight of a Lunar Module on the unmanned Apollo 5 mission. Revision A is divided into the following fifteen sections: Introduction, Pyrotechnic, Electrical Power, Environmental Control System, Communications, Instrumentation, Guidance, Control, Reaction Control Subsystem, Structures, Miscellaneous, Spacecraft LM Adapter, LM Mission Programmer, Extravehicular Mobiling Unit, and Notes. Revision B is dated approximately five months later and is divided into the following sixteen sections: Introduction, Pyrotechnic, Electrical Power, Environmental Control System, Communications, Instrumentation, PGNS, Control, Propulsion, Structures, Miscellaneous, Spacecraft LM Adapter, LM Mission Programmer, Extravehicular Mobilization Unit, Lighting and Controls, and Developmental Flight Instrumentation/Communications.The two handbooks measure 8.5" x 10.5" x 3" (combined) and are five-hole punched and housed in vintage five ring binder. The successful launch of LM-1 was a crucial step in the Apollo program and the process leading up to the first lunar landing. The information, graphs, and pull out charts contained within these publications offers great insight into the technical procedures and systems that were being implemented in order to advance the program at the rapid pace that NASA was taking in the Space Race. This is the first time Heritage has offered this rare and important document. Age related wear to binder and manuals. Overall fine.
