Description
Charlie Duke's Apollo 16 NASA Final Flight Plan Book Dated March 6, 1972, Directly from His Personal Collection. A 400+ page document, 8" x 10.5", five-hole punched and housed in three-ring binder. A flight plan, such as this, provides the crew and Mission Control with a quick reference to the events planned during a spaceflight as well as a wealth of other miscellaneous information. Duke has written on the front cover: "This Flight Plan Was Used/ By Me During The Final Stages/ Of Our Training For/ Our Flight To The/ Moon. During The/ Flight, My/ Wife And Children Used It To. Stay Current On Our/ Activities./ Charles M. Duke Jr. LMP". "Duke" is also written at top right in unknown hand. Flight plans are always highly collectible. Much more so one that was used to train by a future moonwalker. Light wear from use, very fine. Included with this lot is a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Charlie Duke.Auction Info
