Lovell's PPK That Carried the Apollo 13 Beta Cloth Mission Insignia to the Moon.

Apollo 13 Flown Commander's Personal Preference Kit Signed by and from the Collection of Mission Commander James Lovell. This Beta cloth bag is 10" x 10" in size with a snap-closure flap and a 2" gusset. The sewn-on Part Number is "SEB 32100025-301" and the Serial Number is "1016". There is a 3.5" diameter Beta cloth insignia also sewn to the front beneath which Lovell has certified and signed: "This beta cloth Bag contained Apollo 13 beta cloth patches in Odyssey spacecraft on the flight around the moon. James Lovell". This sale also contains one of the very patches that were carried in this bag. Rarely offered and in-demand by collectors of flown space memorabilia. Very fine condition with light soiling

This lot includes a signed Letter of Authenticity from Lovell stating, "[This item] was flown on board the Apollo 13 Command Module Odyssey during its perilous flight around the moon April 11-17, 1970."
