Description
Incredibly Desirable
Apollo 11 Flown Pilot's Preference Kit (PPK), Signed and
Certified, Directly from the Personal Collection of Michael
Collins, CAG Certified. Presented here is a Beta cloth bag,
5.75" x 9.25" with a gusset and a metal grommet in a hole at top
center (no drawstring present). A sewn-on tag has the printed
information: "KIT PILOT'S PREFERENCE/ P/N SEB 12100018-202/ S/N
1071". Collins has signed and annotated on that same tag:
"Michael Collins/ MIKE", as well as the notes "CM/
A8". Written directly below the tag is: "Flown to the Moon/
Aboard Apollo XI". Accompanying the kit is a handwritten note
on Collins' letterhead: "This Personal/ Preference Kit (PPK)/
S-N 1071, flew to/ the moon aboard/ Columbia in/ July 1969, and/
has been in my/ personal possession/ ever since/ Michael Collins/
Apollo XI CMP". Flown PPK's are scarce and among the most
highly coveted of flown Space artifacts. This is truly one of the
most unique and desirable relics of the first lunar landing
mission. A one-of-a-kind artifact. Sealed in a numbered archival
holder, CAG1000461-001. Excellent.
