Mercury-Redstone 3 (Freedom 7): Alan Shepard Signed U.S.S. Lake Champlain Recovery Ship Captain's Cover from Mission Date [with] Color Photo. A rare and desirable #7 cover with printed color ship's emblem and rubber stamp cachets. A 7¢ Airmail stamp is hand-canceled aboard the recovery ship on the very day that Alan Shepard flew his way into the history books. Signed in black ink: "Alan Shepard/ Freedom 7/ 5-5-61", an extremely rare form of his signature. Addressed.
