John Young Signed Apollo 16 Insurance-Type Cover Originally from His Personal Collection, Signed and Certified. This philatelic "Official Commemorative Cover" was issued by the NASA Manned Spacecraft Center Stamp Club. It is postmarked Houston, Texas, April 16, 1972 (launch date), and bears a "United States in Space" 8ยข stamp (Scott #1434). The cachet features the mission insignia in bright colors. John Young has signed boldly in black felt tip on the front to the right of the insignia: "John Young". He has also signed on the verso beneath a typed: "Original Apollo 16 Insurance Cover/ Pre-launch signed on obverse/ from my personal collection/ [signed] John Young". Very desirable as certified.
