Apollo 8 Rare Backup Crew (Armstrong, Aldrin, Haise) Signed Launch Cover. A philatelic cover with a 6ยข "Waterfowl Conservation" stamp affixed at top left, bearing a hand cancelation from Kennedy Space Center dated December 21, 1968, the day that Apollo 8 was launched. The cachet is an applied "Apollo 8/ First Manned Saturn V" sticker. At right, the names of the three members of the backup crew have been typed. Above each are the neat ink signatures as follows: "Neil Armstrong", "Buzz Aldrin", and "Fred Haise". The first such item Heritage has offered. Included with the lot is an 8" x 10" color print for display or matting purposes. Unaddressed. Very fine. From the Family Collection of Jacques Bracke.
