Description

Apollo 8 Crew-Signed "Apollo 8" Stamp First Day Presentation Folder, with Letter of Authentication from Steve Zarelli. A 6" x 9" folder on heavy textured stock for the May 5, 1969, issue of this 6¢ stamp. The front cover bears the NASA Apollo insignia. Inside left lists the program for the luncheon; inside right has one stamp affixed with a hand "First Day Of Issue" cancellation. The crew has signed over that area: "James Lovell", "Anders", and "Frank Borman", all obtained that day. The back cover presents the first 18 verses of Genesis chapter 1 from the Bible. The crew read these verses while orbiting the moon at Christmas the year before. Zarelli LOA included. Tassel intact. Excellent.
