Description

Apollo 11 Crew-Signed Moon Landing Commemorative Cover with Matching Spiro Agnew-Signed Cover. A philatelic cover with a small stamped Apollo 11 insignia cachet, unaddressed, hand-cancelled at Kennedy Space Center, Florida, on the date of man's first lunar landing, July 20, 1969. Boldly and clearly signed in different inks: "Neil Armstrong", "Michael Collins", and "Buzz Aldrin". Also included is a similar cover with a machine cancellation on the same date. Attached at upper left is a 1.5" x 1.25" heavy copper replica of the plaque Apollo 11 left on the moon. The cover is signed at lower right: "Spiro T. Agnew"; he was vice president during the time period of this Apollo mission. Both very fine.
