NASA Astronauts: Exploring Space with a Camera Large Hardcover Book Signed by Seven. (Washington, D.C.: NASA Office of Technology Utilization, 1968). Compiled and edited by Edgar M. Cortright. A remarkable copy of this NASA special publication SP-168 featuring a highly desirable collection of original signatures from seven legendary astronauts, all of whom have provided specific mission attributions next to their names. The half-title page serves as a historical roll call of the Mercury and Gemini programs (top to bottom): "Faith 7 Mission Photos by: Gordon Cooper"; "Aurora 7 photos by- Scott Carpenter"; "GT-12 Photos By Buzz Aldrin"; "Wally Schirra GT-VI"; "Tom Stafford, GT-VI, IX"; "Gemini V Mission Photos by Gordon Cooper"; "GT-XI Photos by: Richard Gordon"; and "& Charles Conrad Jr. GT 5 & 11". Representing a "who's who" of early spaceflight, this assembly of signatures from the Mercury Seven and Gemini eras, including two future moonwalkers (Aldrin and Conrad), makes this a premier artifact for any serious space history enthusiast or photographer.
