Description

"Man Walks on Moon"

Apollo 11 Crew-Signed Washington D.C. Evening Star "Apollo Edition" Newspaper Front Page from July 21, 1969. An historical 14" x 22" (sight size) front page from the nation's capital proclaiming in a bold headline: "Man Walks on Moon/ 'One Small Step...One Giant Leap'". The balance of the page is taken up with a television camera photo of Armstrong and Aldrin walking on the moon. Just above the headline are the signatures of the crew: "Neil Armstrong", "Buzz Aldrin", and "Mike Collins" all in red ink. This was obtained by an award-winning NBC News cameraman when doing a story about the astronauts shortly after their mission. Double matted and framed to an overall 21.75" x 30.25". Excellent for display. Paper has toned as expected. Overall fine.
