Description
Winchester Model 97 Slide Action Shotgun.Serial no. 902417, 12 gauge, 21-inch barrel with bead front sight. Blued finish. Left side of receiver marked "RIV CO SO" (Riverside County Sheriff's Office). Walnut pistol grip stock with grooved slide handle. Winchester butt plate.
Condition. Fair. Receiver lacking most finish and worn to a smooth gray patina; barrel with some minor scuffs and scattered light surface rust. Stock has been modified with a 1 ½ x ½-inch rectangular hole through the butt presumably for a sling or locking. Mechanically sound with a very good bore.
