Description
Winchester Model 42 Slide Action Shotgun.Serial no. 61643 [barrel and receiver], .410 gauge [3-inch], 28-inch barrel with fixed front bead sight. Blued finish. Smooth walnut pistolgrip stock and grooved fore-end. Checkered factory hard-rubber buttplate. Manufactured in 1947. Although it was discontinued in 1963, demand for a high-quality .410 pump-action shotgun inspired later manufacturers to produce similar designs. Today, the Model 42 remains a benchmark for .410 shotguns, admired for its smooth action, elegant design, and Winchester's legendary craftsmanship.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 85-90% finish with signs of handling wear and very fine spots of pitting. Scattered dings and scuffs present to wood. Crisp action. Mirror bright bore.
