Description
Winchester Model 1897 Slide-Action Shotgun.Serial no. 55x7x1 (x representing faint, unidentifiable numbers), 12 gauge, 20-inch barrel with fixed front bead sight. Blued finish. Right side of the frame marked: U.S. / flaming bomb. Smooth walnut pistolgrip stock and grooved fore-end. Hard rubber butt. Manufactured in 1914.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 85-90% of a thinning finish, with scattered signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood. Action tight. Pitted bore.
