Serial no. 6679, 12 gauge, 18 1/4-inch barrel with fixed front bead sight. Left side of receiver marked: F. BANNERMAN MNFR. NEW. YORK. US.A. / MODEL 1890. Checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and fore-end. Checkered hard rubber buttplate. Note: According to Flayderman's Guide, encountering financial difficulties, Spencer Patents were bought by the famed military equipment dealers (and America's first antique gun dealers) Francis Bannerman Sons of New York City about 1890, [17-177].

Condition: Good. Finish a smooth grey patina with noticeable signs of age, handling wear and surface rust. Heavy dings, bruising and scuffs present to wood. Major cracks and rubber loss to butt.
