Cased and Engraved Ithaca Model 37 L.A.P.D. 200th Anniversary Commemorative Slide Action Shotgun.Serial no. LAPD-1139 [receiver], 12 gauge, 28-inch barrel with ventilated rib and fixed front sight. Blued finish. Elaborately scroll engraved receiver with numerous scenes accented in gilt. Right side reads: TO PROTECT AND TO SERVE along with three LAPD related crests. Left side marked: CITY OF LOS ANGELES / 200TH ANNIVERSARY / 1781-1981 / COMMEMORATIVE. Checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and fore-end slide. Badge style grip cap reading: POLICE OFFICER / LOS ANGELES POLICE. Ventilated rubber recoil pad. Sold along with extra 18 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Each barrel stamped L.A.P.D. COMMEMORATIVE. Contained in leather wrapped fitted carrying case. Top of case marked: LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT / TO PROTECT AND TO SERVE.
Condition: Excellent. Overall showing very light handling wear. Action crisp. Strong bores.
