Description
Engraved W.W. Greener Single Shot Shotgun.Serial no. C4465, 12 gauge, 34-inch barrel with ventilated rib and fixed white bead sights. Blued finish. Top of barrel marked: W.W. GREENER MAKER / 29 PALL MALL, LONDON. Elaborately scroll and game scene engraved coin-finished receiver. Checkered walnut straight stock and beaver tail fore-end. Noshoc rubber recoil pad. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 8251 / MEMORIAL.
Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum, Part II.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 92-94% finish with a few signs of thinning, handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Few scattered scuffs, scratches and dings present to wood. Action good. Strong bore.
