Description
Winchester Model 1898 Signal Cannon.Serial no. A266 [barrel and carriage], 10 gauge [black powder blanks], 12-inch tapered blued steel barrel. Heavy, black finish, cast iron carriage, with 3 1/2-inch wheels. 17-inches in overall length and weighing 14-pounds, 15-ounces.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina, with noticeable thinning areas, handling wear and patches of pitting. Wheels functioning. Pitted bore.
