W. & C. Scott & Son Double Barrel Percussion Shotgun.Serial no. 38566 [barrels, receiver and lower tang], 16 gauge, 28-inch damascus barrels with fixed front bead sight. Top of barrels marked: W. & C. SCOTT & SON (BOGARDUS CLUB GUN) MAKERS & PATENTEES. LONDON. Elaborately scroll engraved receiver and lever. Each side of receiver marked: W. & C. SCOTT & SON. Checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and splinter fore-end. Blank silver escutcheon to base of stock. Dual trigger. Grooved wood buttplate. Weight: 6 pounds. Length of pull: 14 3/4-inches.
Condition: Very good to fine. Overall showing scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Noticeable scuffs and scratches present to wood. Action good. Strong bores.
