Description
German Stahl Drilling Combination Gun.Serial no. 14960, 16 gauge and 8mm calibers, 26 3/4-inch barrels with fixed front sight and rear folding leaf sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Light scroll engraved receiver, lever and triggerguard. Dual triggers. Checkered walnut, curved pistolgrip stock and splinter fore-end. Sling swivels. Grooved hard rubber butt. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 8494 / MEMORIAL.
Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum, Part II.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 60-70% of a thinning finish, with scattered signs of handling wear, thinning to muzzle and fine patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Action good. Strong bores.
