German Simson & Co. Suhl Drilling. Serial no. 5497, 16 gauge and 7.65mm calibers, 26-inch matted rib three barrel cluster with fixed front sight and rear folding leaf sight. Blued finish. Elaborate scroll and game scene engraved action. Dual triggers. Smooth walnut ebony tipped and custom painted fore-end and pistolgrip stock with cheekrest. Engraved fowl scene on ammo compartment at base of stock. Mounted sling eyes. Checkered hard rubber buttplate. Weight: 7 1/2-pounds. Length of pull: 15-inches.
Condition: Good as possibly refinished. Retaining approximately 50-60% blue with noticeable wear, discoloration and fine patches of pitting. Small ding 4 1/2-inches from muzzle to side of left barrel. Wood showing light scuffs and scratches. Action good. Bright bores.
