Gebruder Merkel Model 8 Double Barrel Shotgun. Serial no. 587884, 12 gauge, 28-inch barrels with tapered matte rib and single bead. Blued barrels, case-hardened locks. Locks with simple scroll engraving. Boxlock action. Double triggers. Tang selector. Checkered walnut pistol-grip stock and fore-end. Maker's buttplate. Length of pull 13ΒΌ-inches. Two mounted sling swivels.Condition: Excellent. Retaining 90-95% finish, worn at the muzzle and with a few trivial scratches. Stock with modest wear. Mechanically crisp. Bores bright.
