Serial no. 48261 [barrels and receiver], 12 gauge [2 3/4-inch] and .30-06 calibers, 26-inch barrels with textured rib, fixed front sight and folding rear sight. Blued finish. Top of barrels marked: JOS. FANZOI - ARMS - FERLACH, AUSTRIA. Scroll engraved blued lever. Games scene and scroll engraved triggerguard. Dual triggers. Elaborately scroll and game scene engraved coin-finished receiver. Finely checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and beavertail fore-end. Sling swivels. Cheekrest to left side of stock. Ebony grip cap and buttplate. Length of pull: 14-inches. Weight: 8-pounds, 2-ounces. Josef Fanzoi was a gunmaker associated with the town of Ferlach in Austria, a historic centre of fine gun-making. He is often cited in listings of very high quality shotguns, double rifles and guns with elaborate engraving and custom features.

Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 95-97% finish with light handling wear and fine spots of pitting. Scattered dings and scuffs present to wood. Actions crisp. Bright bores.
