Cased Westley Richards & Co. Best Quality Droplock Double Barrel Shotgun.Serial no. 01572, 16 gauge [2 3/4-inch], 30-inch barrels with ventilated rib and white front bead sight. Blued finish. Top of barrels marked: WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO. and LONDON. Bored light full - 0.027-inches and extra full - 0.037-inches. Extensively scroll engraved receiver marked: WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO. to each side. Finely carved and checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and fore-end. Gold-plated grip cap with the initials HN. Auto ejectors. Sold along with extra set of barrels numbered 01572, 12 gauge, 28-inches with ventilated rib and white front bead sight. Top of barrels marked: VEREES & CIE and ARMES FINES - LIEGE. Contained in tooled leather mutton carrying case. Pull: 14 3/4-inches. Weight: 7 pounds, 3 ounces.

Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 96-98% finish with a few scattered signs of handling wear and very fine patches of pitting. Few scattered dings to wood. Action good. Bright bores. Storage wear present to leather case. Lid is present, however detached.
