Description
Cased Merkel 140-2.1 Safari Boxlock Double Rifle.Serial no. A470434, .470 Nitro Express caliber, 23 1/2-inch barrels with full-length matted rib, fixed front sight and folding leaf rear sight. Blued finish. Elaborate scroll engraved coin finished receiver with lion and elephant. Non-ejector. Finely checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and splinter fore-end. Sling swivels. Horn buttplate and grip cap. Contained in leather wrapped Merkel hard carrying case with green felt lining, literature and makers leather label. Pull: 14 3/8-inches. Weight: 10 pounds.
