Description
Cased Holland & Holland Royal Hammerless Deluxe Double Barrel Shotgun.Serial no. 12021 [barrels, lower tang and receiver], 12 gauge, 30-inch barrels with fixed front bead sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Holland & Holland address to top of barrel. Elaborately scroll engraved receiver, lever, upper tang and triggerguard. Each side of receiver marked: HOLLAND & HOLLAND. Base of receiver marked: "THE ROYAL" / -PATENT SAFETY- / HAMMERLESS EJECTOR. Lever marked: HOLLAND / & / HOLLAND / 1 (accented in gilt) / PATENT / NO. 3. Dual triggers. Finely checkered walnut straight stock and splinter fore-end. Blank oval escutcheon to base of stock. Grooved hard rubber buttplate. Length of pull: 14 1/2-inches. Weight: 6-pounds. Contained in leather factory carrying case with red felt lining and cleaning tools. Holland & Holland label to inside of lid and the initials W.L. to the top of lid. Note: Holland and Holland has been making the finest quality shotguns and rifles since 1835. According to research, All H&H guns are built per individual special order.
Condition: Very good to excellent. Overall showing light handling wear and very fine patches of pitting. Few scattered dings present to wood. Action good. Bright bores. Noticeable age and storage wear to carrying case. Leather straps torn.
