20 gauge Holland & Holland Boxlock Ejector Double Barrel Shotgun. Serial no. 37672. 20 gauge. 28-inch barrels with game rib. Barrels marked: Shot and Regulated by Holland & Holland Ltd. 12 Bruton Street. London. W.1. Case-hardened boxlock action marked: H&H on the sides. Action and triggerguard engraved with border engraving, foliate scroll and floral details. Ejectors. Automatic safety. Checkered straight-grip stock of slightly contrasting straight grain walnut. Leather covered one-inch thick recoil pad. Oval with initials. Checkered splinter fore-end with Anson release.Data: Barrel Dimensions: Bores: 0.614/0.614 inches. Chokes: 0.014/0.030 inches (Modified/Full). Chambers: 2 3/4 inches. Minimum wall thickness: 0.023 inches. Proof: Birmingham Nitro, .615/.615, 2 3/4, 3 1/4 tons per sq in. Stock Dimensions: Pull: 14-inches. Drop at comb: 1 1/2 inches. Drop at heel: 2 1/4 inches. Cast-off: 3/16 inches. Weight: 6 pounds. Condition: Excellent, as partially redone. Barrels show 96-98% bluing with majority of losses under the fore-end. Bright clean bores. Action shows 90-95% mostly vivid case colors with losses on edges. Action/barrels show slight looseness. Triggerguard shows 94-96% bluing. Recoated stock shows some light marks including a very light scratch at the head of the stock. Fore-end shows a few light marks and a small 3/8-inch crack at tip.
