12 Gauge L.C. Smith 4E Grade Sidelock Ejector Double Barrel Shotgun.Serial no. 204982. 12 gauge. 28-inch barrels with matted rib with a gold band. Casehardened action and locks with fine foliate scroll engraving with pointers and setters in oval medallions. Ejectors. Three-position safety. Checkered straight grip stock of dark, contrasting well-figured walnut. Triggerguard with a pair of quail in oval. Hard rubber buttplate. Checkered splinter fore-end with an ebony insert at the tip. Data: Barrel dimensions: Bores: 0.732/0.730 inches. Chokes: 0.006 /0.017 inches. (Cylinder/Modified). Pull: 14 ¼ inches. Drop at comb: 1 5/8 inches. Drop at heel: 2 1/2 inches. Weight: 7 pounds. Condition: Excellent. Barrels show 97-98% bluing with a slight downward cast. Excellent bright bores. Action and locks show 90-95% muted case colors with bold colors in protected areas. Bottom tang shows numerous light scratches. Triggerguard shows 80-90% bluing. Stock shows some light spotting to finish with numerous, light nicks, scratches and impressions. Small repair to the stock on the right side of the top tang. Small chip missing at rear of top tang. Fore-end shows a slight impression to checkering. Fore-end release shows a silver patina.
