Description
12 Gauge Parker VHE Double Barrel Shotgun. Serial no. 224604, 12 gauge, 32-inch Vulcan steel barrels with matted concave rib. Case-hardened border engraved number 1 1/2 action. Ejectors. Non-automatic safety. Checkered pistolgrip possible replacement stock of contrasting figured walnut. Stock is not numbered to the gun. Hard rubber grip cap. Later Pachmayr recoil pad. No shield. Checkered later custom beavertail fore-end. Note: Parker identification book lists the gun with a splinter fore-end and the iron is that of a splinter fore-end modified for a beaver tail.Data: Barrel Dimensions: Bores: 0.732/0.733-inches. Chokes: 0.038/0.037-inches (Full). Chambers: 2 5/8-inches. Minimum wall thickness: 0.037-inches. Stock Dimensions: Pull: 13 7/8-inches. Drop at comb: 1 5/8-inches. Drop at heel: 2 5/8-inches. Cast: None. Weight: 8 pounds, 8 ounces. Condition: Excellent, as modified. Barrels show 96-98% bluing with majority of losses on underside and some very small marks. Mid point bead broken off. Excellent bright bores. Action shows 50-60% case colors. Triggerguard shows a silver gray patina. Stock shows some slight losses at the top tang and a few light scratches. Beavertail fore-end shows a repair, a coated interior and a gap at the rear.
