Description

U.S. Model 1816 Flintlock .54 Caliber Smoothbore Pistol S. North. Metal smooth and gray with minor areas of salt and peppering and light pitting. Lock lightly marked "S.North U.S." flanking eagle "Midln Conn", hammer will not stop at half or full cock. Wood a deep dark patina showing minor dings, a horizontal crack in the grips and the initials "LW" carved above the hammer. The wooded ramrod is a replacement. The gun appears to be in its original flintlock configuration. From the Michael Yeck Collection.
