Washington & Jackson: 1832 Jugate Centennial/Campaign Ribbon. 2" x 9" silk ribbon featuring oval portraits of Washington and Jackson superimposed on a sunburst, inscribed "The 100th Washington Anniversary. U.S. President Jackson 1832." Scattered light stains, several small holes near or on the Washington portrait, which detract hardly at all. An interesting and rare piece issued by Jackson partisans in the presidential election of 1832, linking their standardbearer with the illustrious Washington. Jackson campaign ribbons are ultra rare.Auction Info
