Description
Ulysses S. Grant: Civil War Era Embossed Label. An albumen portrait of Grant appears in the center of this colorful 10" x 3 3/4" embossed paper label for a skein of wool or bolt of fabric. It is inscribed: "No. 308 50 Yds." We have seen examples with General Sherman and date it circa 1865. It is complete, with light wear at the extremities.Auction Info
