Bronze, 38mm. Front reading: U.S. NAVAL CAMPAIGN - WEST INDIES 1898 / WILLIAM T. SAMPSON and COMMANDER IN CHIEF. Reverse marked: SANTIAGO DE CUBA / MAY 31. Three level pinback of SANTIAGO / SANTIAGO / U.S.S. MASSACHUSETTS. One inch ribbon connecting medal. Edge of the medal marked: THOMAS DALY SERGT. U.S.M.C.

Condition: Good. Overall showing some minor fraying to ribbon and some light olive toning to brass.
