Martin Van Buren: Grouping of Tokens. (1) Three samples of MVB-1840-6, 29mm, appears to be one copper, one silvered copper, and one brass. Obverse features a portrait of Martin Van Buren facing the left. Text reads, "The Sober Second Thoughts Of The People Are. O.K." Reverse reads, "The. Independent. Sub. Treasury The. Choice of. The. People." (2) MVB-1840-9, 24mm, brass. The obverse features a bust of Van Buren facing the left. It reads, "Martin Van Buren. Born Dec. 5, 1782." The reverse reads, "Weighed In The Balance & Found Wanting." Scales can be seen at the center. (3) MVB-1840-10, 24mm, brass. The obverse has a portrait of Van Buren facing the left. It is inscribed "Martin Van Buren. Born Dec: 5. 1782," and the reverse reads, "Democrats to the Polls, And Victory Is Ours." A flag appears at the center.

Condition: The silvered copper sample MVB-1840-6 has a couple of dents to the rim, and the brass sample has some pitting and spotting throughout. All of the examples exhibit some tarnish and expected wear. All have been holed at the top. MVB-1840-10 has a gray foreign material within its hole.
