Description
Aaron White Two Satirical Dollars and More. Two examples of Aaron White HK-829 so-called dollars, harken back to the financial hard times tokens of 1837 and 1857. These 35mm satirical pieces (circa 1861-1865), one in copper the other in gilt brass, recommends 'never to keep a paper dollar until tomorrow.' Accompanying these two pieces is a 20mm civil war token in copper with George McClellan obverse and an oval 24mm x 10mm thick steel die of Andrew Jackson.Condition: All four items in fine to extra fine condition.
