Theodore Roosevelt: Magnificent, Unique, Signed, Hand-Knotted Persian Rug, Dated with the Election Year of 1904. One of Ed Gillette's most prized possessions, this spectacular rug was undoubtedly custom-ordered by a wealthy Roosevelt supporter. It is a heavy, dense wool rug with very fine knot count. "T. Roosevelt Prest. USA 1904" and the artist's signature in Arabic below the large portrait. Condition is beautiful; we suspect it has seen little if any foot traffic. 50.5" x 74.0" including fringe.Auction Info
