Description
U.S. Flags: 25-Star Flag. 88" x 49" American flag with 25 stars (June 15, 1836 to January 26, 1837), possibly made to honor the admission of Arkansas to the Union. Composed of coarsely woven cotton. Stars are arranged in a 5 x 5 pattern of horizontal rows. Completely hand-stitched. Sailcloth hoist with two whipped grommets in the corners. Scattered holes in the field, but generally very well preserved. No inscriptions or other marks noted.Auction Info
