Description
Stephen A. Douglas: Graphic Campaign Flag. 16" x 10.5" glazed cotton flag inscribed "Douglas and Johnson". The canton has 33 stars in the "Great Star" pattern. The presence of nail holes along the left edge indicates it was attached to a pole at one time and carried in a parade. Some wear along the right, exposed edge, as is normal. Bold colors with minor fraying on the sides. Handsomely framed and ready for display. This is the first example we have seen.Auction Info
