John C. Fremont: Fantastic Campaign Flag. There are only three Fremont flags listed in "Threads" and this is an unlisted variety. The first thing one notices about this flag is the size... it is really big. It measures a healthy 35" x 24". It has additional white border on three sides. We count thirty-two stars. The last stripe on the bottom reads: "Fremont & Dayton". Outside of some normal, light fading, it is extremely well-preserved. Although Fremont material as a rule is not overly scarce, display items are the exception. This is a terrific piece!Auction Info
