Henry Clay: Portrait Campaign Flag. 25.5" x 23.5" cotton flag with portrait of Clay in the canton, surrounded by twenty-six stars. Printed in brown and red, inscribed "Clay. and Frelinghuysen". Modern sleeve sewn on back side, at top, for ease of display. A few small holes along left edge. Some foxing, light stains and offsetting. Small area of "loss" on left side of canton, as made, due to improper cutting from the original bolt of fabric. Bold colors. A fine example.Auction Info
