Description
Grant & Colfax: Jugate Campaign Flag. Threads #349. 8" x 10 1/2" glazed cotton parade flag featuring conjoined busts of Grant & Colfax in the canton, inscribed "Grant & Colfax" on the top three stripes. Light foxing. Two strips of vertical adhesive tape applied at opposite edges many years ago, causing discoloration. Could be displayed as-is or matted & framed. The body of the flag is quite decent and displayable. Given the on-going popularity of campaign flags and the rarity of jugate examples from this period, we expect many collectors will happy to acquire this for their collections.Auction Info
