Description

Abraham Lincoln: Portrait Sash From Faneuil Hall Boston, MA Rally. From a May 24, 1860 Grand Ratification Meeting in Boston's Faneuil Hall Market comes this utterly astonishing silk parade sash featuring a beardless portrait of Lincoln. The rally was presided over by Governor Nathaniel Banks with music by Eben Flagg's Boston Brass Band. The meeting featured several keynote speakers, delegates, and dignitaries. A fantastic relic from a historically documented event, and the only portrait political campaign sash we have encountered at public auction.

Condition: The sash measures 29" long x 2 1/4" wide, has scalloped edges, and is in superb condition.
