Description
William McKinley: Glorious, Over-the-Top Campaign Banner. 21 1/2" x 33" (sight) and framed to an overall size of 27" x 38 1/2". Stunning glazed cotton banner showing candidate McKinley addressing a large crowd of supporters from a platform titled "Our Choice For President William McKinley The People's Champion". A safe appears next to him showing gold & silver coins, dollar bills, factories belching smoke and two children playing with their pet dog. A group of Tammany politicians confer to the left, dismayed at McKinley's popularity. Lady Liberty ("No More Bosses/ The People Demand It") and Uncle Sam ("Hands off there you fellows/ Hear Me?") stand on the hilltop. McKinley declares "My Friends Shall Have Prosperity With Full Protection Believe Me". And that's not all! It was produced in 1896 by Albert H. Henderson. The colors are vibrant and the condition is very nice having some light damp staining that blends into the graphic design.
