Henry Clay: The Colorful Front Panel from 1844 Campaign Stogie Case. "Henry Clay candidad [sic] for 1844," it proclaims. "The American Statesman / Come every Whig, your influence bring/ On this eventful day,/ And make the Western vallies [sic] ring/ With shouts for Henry Clay". One of the most popular political display items of this era, these Clay stogie cases consistently sell in the $3000-4000 range when complete.
